I came across this quote today in seminary
and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
"How difficult it must be for Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, to see so many needlessly suffer, because His gift of repentance is ignored. It must pain Him deeply to see the pointless agony both in this life and beyond the veil that accompany the unrepentant sinner after all He did so that we need not suffer."
And it just came to me: this is why I feel I should serve a mission
I feel that there are so many people out there who "needlessly suffer" because they don't know there's a better way. and I want to help them find the better way. I want to tell them that there's a better, more fulfilling way to live life.
I have felt the healing power of the Atonement and what kinda peace it brings, wiping your slate clean, and I want others to feel that.
It felt so good to find that quote today. Seminary rocks. So, as of right now, the plan for my future is a mission.
And I'm really excited!
