So it's about time I blog about this!

Yeesh Kellie! Get with it!

I had a blast at homecoming! And now I can check it off my list of buckets....er

The boys took us canoeing and it was such a blast! The mountains were popping with color and the water was fuh-reezing! 

But it was really fun, even if there were grumpy fishermen telling us that there was plenty of lake and to buzz off.

{I think my date was the cutest. just look at him! adorable!}

This kid is a dork. Honestly. I'm laying on my belly in the backseat of his truck, waiting for Hayden to go get his date. He smacks my bum and tells me to get up. that's just how he is. He's not a creep {although at first I thought he kinda was} And later we were talking about he kinda smacked me too hard, and his date was sitting right there {cute Miss Sammy} and he was trying to explain himself. And all he could get out was, "well, she was laying down..."

And that was it.

We were all roaring with laughter.

It was kinda a you-had-to-be-there kinda thing. 

He was just so cool. Look at him rowing while eating a cheesestick.

Skill.

Then onto the pretty part of the evening.

My dress? Shabby Apple :)

We went to Pizza Factory {a delicious pizza spot in PG} and it was great!

Then we went to the school and I ditched my heels and got to dance the night away with the sweetest guy ever!

Also, I serenaded him with the song from Tangled. That song pretty much makes me the happiest ever :)

Don't Speak but Hear

Sometimes I get scared.

What scares me and delights me at the same time is the future.

Just like a crack of lightening.

Frightening and exhilarating.

When I get scared I love talking. and crying. 

mostly crying.

See, I have this problem of not being able to keep my emotions to myself. I need to tell someone or it'll burst out of me.

And luckily I had a willing, listening ear. And also a mouth willing to give advice and reassure me and cheer me on.

I'm so thankful for the people that have come into my life. 

And I'm glad I don't have to face things all on my own. That also scares me.

The World of Adulthood

I'm an adult. Yikes.

18. Holy smokes. 18 candles on that there cake. 

I don't even feel old. Wasn't it just yesterday i was starting kindergarten with my backpack that was bigger than me and my sneakers and overalls?

Sigh. Where did the time go? Now I have to put on my big girl shoes and try to be an adult.

But on the bright side, I can now order off infomercials! Yessssssss!

Celebrating my last night of getting into trouble legally :)

All in all, I had an amazing birthday! I'll share more a little later, cause I got some pretty cool stuff.

Silly Me

There's a reason why this blog has "silly" in it's title.

It's because that's exactly what I am!

So we figured out what was wrong with my car....

It was out of gas!

Silly me. But I had no way of knowing because my gas gauge was broken!

Well, lesson learned! :)

My three Nephites

My poor car is sick.

As I was driving home from my friends house my car started acting funny.

Lurch..sputter...sputter...lurch

"Oh no please! Gosh dang it!"

I felt it slowing down and in my silliness, I tried propelling it forward by rocking back and forth in my seat.

That didn't really do much.

I tried pulling it off to the side as much as possible.

And then the engine died.

So I called my best friend.

"Howdy!" -Dex

"uhhh....sooo. I broke down."

"Haha! Be right there!"

So I waited patiently while he came, and he tried jump-starting me. That didn't work. So we were faced with pushing my car a little more to the side of the road and I wasn't sure how that was gonna happen.

Soon we hear, "Hi Dexton!" and this car pulls behind my car and these two sweethearts get out. 

They were Dex's friends {and they had also been in my prom group!}

So with their help we rolled my car to a safer location :)

Other things that happened this weekend:

I won a candy trophy for indexing!

My cute sister painting faces for the Heritage Fair in our ward!

goodness. I just love this movie. As a little girl I would sit in front of the tv and watch this movie with wide eyes, dreaming of my own fairytale. I loved Thumbelina so much. 

I would squish my little sister, Abbey, against my face and we would sing together.

Then we'd pull each other's hair.

just like the good sisters we are.

Fall.

I can feel the difference in the air. Change is coming.

My mountains are already changing color.

i'm ready for Autumn :)
