Never So Close

So you know the President of my church?

You might not, but you should!

If you do you probably know what I'm gonna say:

He's an inspired man.

And I actually was 50 feet away from him. Tonight.

At the 100 years of Seminary Celebration.

And wow! I felt the spirit so strongly.

As the whole Conference center stood as Pres. Thomas S. Monson entered the room, a hush fell over the congregation and a warm feeling came over me.

I couldn't help smiling.

I know this gospel is true and the Spirit testified that to me.

Oh, and one more thing.

I'm a little upset and elated by Mr. X

But more upset.

And what do I do when I'm upset at boys?

I go on Pinterest :)

Fairytales

Just saw Beauty and the Beast in 3D.

And let me tell you, I love Disney.

They never fail to make the best fairytales!

My mind today has been wandering aimlessly about Mr. X

It's a funny thing when you get a crush, it makes you smile in the most unexpected situations.

Like today for example, while I'm putting away shoes at my store, his face popped into my head of him smiling.

Oh boy, he's a cute kid.

Fairytales are my favorite. My life isn't always rainbows and glass slippers, far from it actually....

It's nice to see love.

Even if it's a cartoon.

(But possible my favorite scene in Beauty and the Beast is when the Beast rescues Belle from the wolves.

I'm a sucker for heroes swooping in and saving the damsel)

Desert Rain

There are some things about Arizona I miss.

I miss the desert rain. Lightning storms that strike the cracked desert floor, the sky is so vast that you see every electrical flash that lights up the sky. 

The sound of the rain on the roof and the smell of it when you walk outside the next day. 

It smells new and fresh.

The rain here in Utah is different, but still nice. It smells more like forest and trees rather than desert and sand.

I miss how fast the rain comes so quickly and pours with fury.

Then just as suddenly it leaves.

I miss that.

What Gives??

Hey. Guess what?

Still no snow! What gives? It's January! 

I'm pretty disappointed.

But being a girl, with my fickle feelings, I'm ready for summer. Since snow doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon, I would like to get on to the next exciting season!

Sun-kissed skin, bathing suits, the smell of sun tan lotion, pools, lake trips.

Ah! I just can't wait! It's going to be spectacular!

Hey, wondering about Mr. X?

Me too. He hasn't talked, smiled, laughed or looked at me for the past three weeks.

(Granted, I've been gone on winter break, but still!) 

Maybe he's moved on?...

Maybe it's time I do the same?....

*sigh* but he's just so cute.

Oh my goodly gumdrops!!

She's in my ward and oh boy! Do we have some good times!

She is also in my English class to keep me sane.

I just wanted to post about her because she's awesome!

And also because we can be weird together. Boo-ya!

Lazy Bones

The holidays were fantastic!

My sisters came and we had a blast! Snuggling, making silly faces, playing with hair, snowboarding, shopping, squealing over the things Santa left us (my sisters are grown adults, by the way) and finally getting on a plane and heading back to AZ.

Ah, good ol' Arizona. A nice 70 degrees while I stayed there! It was nice visiting my dad and all his family.

We went to a marching band competition at Cardinal Stadium and it almost brought tears to my eyes.

I miss it so much, but I miss my section even more. Clarinets all the way!

Regardless of my blubbering, it was fantastic! I enjoyed seeing it so much! (And yes, silently I was making my own judgement calls in my head)

And me, being lazy, can't seem to find it in me to post all my winter break pictures. but I will post this one:

My mom just whipped it up for me. And yes, I'm afraid that it is indeed a green smoothie. 

But I sure do love my mommy, so I drank it. (I just wont tell you what was in it, but I'm sure you can guess)

But it feels good to be back in Utah again. I really do love it here. 

I've made this place my home, and it feels like it was all suppose to happen.

And do you know what tickles me?
