Fall Is On the Way!

Oh goodness I can hardly wait!
Leaves falling, pumpkin carving, decorating, apple cider, trick-or-treating! Ah! I love the fall.

Can you tell that I'm excited?? I get to wear scarves!!! :D

It's the time where everything changes. It's going to be beautiful!

These are just some pictures from my summer.

Can you tell I love the temple? I'll be going there someday :)

Listen and I will Tell You :)

Today in Sunday school I had an awesome missionary opportunity!
We had a young man come and visit us today and he was an investigator. We'll call him Brother T.
So Brother T was so sweet and open to us with questions! There was another young man in Sunday School who also answered his questions, we'll call him Brother D. So the conversation kinda went like this.
"So, I wanna get tattoos about my morals and everything on my arms. I want to put "Family" on one arm and "Forever" on the other," Brother T said.
Our Sunday school teacher said, "Well, if you want to get tattoos that's fine."
And in my mind I was putting on the brakes and thinking, UH, NO! NOT RIGHT!
So I stepped up to kinda give him a better idea of what to do.
"Well, in our religion we're taught that our bodies are temples, and what color are temples?"
"White."
"And what does white usually signify?"
"Purity."
"Yeah, purity! We're taught to remain pure and that means we don't drink or smoke or put tattoos on our bodies because that could taint our purity. But by no means are you a bad person if you get a tattoo." I said.
Then Brother D spoke and it was amazing, "To go to the temple you need a recommend, anybody can't just walk in there. And a recommend is our tattoo to remind us of our morals and what we stand for, to be pure. Same thing with a wedding ring," And he looked down at his hand as if he had a ring on, "It's a constant reminder of the commitment we make for ourselves, our spouse and for our children."

I was floored.

Brother D is something else. What an amazing young man! I mean, wow! How many times do you hear an answer like that?!

So the lesson continued as a discussion and it was the best lesson I've had!

Is He Out There?

Oooh, swoon!

Sometimes I get frustrated being a girl. Why do I have to over-analyze everything? It was just a smile!
Come on!

Every time I see him my heart flutters.....I hate to love that feeling.

But anyway, I've started a new job here (I think I'm finally settling in) but sometimes its still hard.
I'm not gonna lie, I can now say I've cried in the bathroom at lunch.
Don't feel sad. It's all part of settling in. A few tears need to be shed.
So don't fret.

(Just fyi, my blog is kinda going through maintenance.)
