Listening Scars

Well, at first we were gonna go to the pool,
but silly goose forgot that the pool didn't open till 4.
Silly boy.

So instead we jumped on his tramp
and then I ended up telling him my worries.
And like the best friend he is,
he listened.

He listened when I told him how frustrated I was
that my past wouldn't leave me alone.
We laid in the nice, warm sun and I mostly talked.

And I needed to.

And then we showed each other our cool scars
{but he had a ton more than I did, because, you know, he's a boy}

Then I beat him up.
Cause, you know, boys are real fun to beat up.
And I only do that because he needs it, since he's the oldest
and he's usually the one who does the beating.
It builds character.

Then we laughed.
A lot.

He's the greatest friend.
Ever.

Don't Even

AMEN!

Oh Pinterest. I love you so much.

I agree with all of this {except for maybe the part about getting me mad
and then kissing me. I would just prefer to stay mad at you......until I feel like kissing.
Ha!}

And so it begins.

Ah. Summertime.

Oh, you know

I had the awesome opportunity to go to MORP with my best friends, and Austin (haha!)

We had tons of fun climbing on and around a playground, whilst my mum took our pictures.

This kid? Pretty much the coolest kid ever. Wanna know why?

He puts up with this crazy girl. :)
He's my best friend.

Isn't Mercedes just the cutest?!?!
Love her! What a darling!

piggyback!!!!

And we're pretty ridiculous :P

Honestly, these two had more fun together than with their dates! haha!

That's okay. Sadie and I are babes.

No worries. :)

Story Time

Let me tell you a story about a girl.

She moved to a strange town. She didn't know anyone, and nobody knew her.
She actually thought it would be a good way to start fresh, make a new reputation for herself. Her past wasn't exactly butterflies and rainbows. It felt good to escape.

She moved, and being a teenager, she liked talking to people.
Sadly enough, she had to go to a school where she felt like a freshmen all over again.
The hallways were foreign, the classrooms smelt weird and nobody talked to her.
Luckily, she was able to find a bathroom during lunch. She cried and cried.
She had never felt more alone.

Then one day, a girl with dark hair and wearing glasses, came up to her and told her she liked her necklace. She said her name was Melanie. Soon they started hanging out at lunch.

Then she started befriended another girl who, once she started laughing, couldn't stop very easily. Her name was Mercedes. She was in band too.

Soon, this girl got recognized in the halls. She was no longer a stranger to herself. Every time someone says hi to her in the hallways, she never forgets where her year started. Now she knows how special it is to know someone. And she knows that one person can make a difference.

As I'm sure you've probably guessed, this girl was me.

Don't feel sad, and don't pity me.

I knew moving wasn't going to be easy and quite frankly, it was the second hardest trial in my life.
I only tell this story because I marvel at how far I've come, and how much difference a year can make.
This school year is drawing to a close, and it's funny to think I've only been here a year.

To me, it actually feels like I've been here much longer.
But that's only because of the wonderful people I've met :)
Thank you, to each one of you who reads this blog.

You've made a difference in my life.
