His&Her Q&A

Here we go again!

Describe how your other half dresses.
His: Quite a fashion sense.
Her: Pretty casual, t-shirt and jeans. But you wear a button up when anything special is going on.

What is one quality your other half has that you hope your children inherit?
His: Your laugh, or your smile.
Her: Your kindness.

What are some amazing talents your other half has?
His: Photography.
Her: You're flippin good with technology, even as I type this you're telling me shortcuts I can use to get rid of the BOLD type.

What team/school are you an anti-fan of/is your biggest rival?
His: American Fork High School {said in a menacing voice}
Her: I'm gonna have to say Skyline....it was my hometown rival.

Who was your very first crush?
His: Elise, she was a girl in my orchestra class...she was a cello player
Her: gosh I have to think waaay back {Dex: cause you have SO many} hmmm. His name was Dane. He was the cutest in my 6th grade class. I kicked him in the side and got sent to detention...

What gets you inspired?
His: Love!!
Her: Anybody that knows me can pretty much answer this question! Pinterest, definitely

What's a TV show that has ended that you wish would come back?
His: Lost or Kyle XY
Her: That's So Raven. She was so sassy!

What is one of the first conversations you remember having together?
His: Talking about how cold my bum was going to get, sitting on the concrete.
Her: Well, it wasn't a real conversation but you said something and I commented on how deep your voice was. tehe

What is a hobby you would like to get into at some point?
His: Throwing pottery. I LOVE throwing pottery.
Her: Hmmm, probably crocheting. I mean, I can do it, I'm just not very good at it.

About when did you know you were in love with your other half?
His: You want my honest answer? It was when we had our first conversation, you telling me my bum was going to get cold. I knew I loved you then.
Her: It happened over a period of time, but there was one night where I was crying pretty hard {I forget the reason now, but I'm pathetic and I cry.} but you just held me and rocked me and talked with me.

So there you go! That's our Q&A for this week! Thanks go to Dex for being a trooper and answering all the questions, even when I told him to put his ipod away. haha!

Well hi!
I've realized that it's been a week since I last posted! my bad!

And before i post my weekly Pinterest post, let me just say that it's been a busy week! If you follow me on instagram you'll see that it's been crazy! Tuesday I went to the Temple lights with Dex (which was super fun and absolutely gorgeous!) and then Wednesday I had a band concert, which was Christmasey and festive! Then Thursday night I saw The Hobbit with Dex, his brother and his cousin at midnight.
I only got like 3 hours of sleep cause then I had to wake up for 6 am layouts. Then Friday I was trying to catch up on sleep
aaaand to top it off, I hung out with Hayden and we watched Ratatouille!

There you go.

 maybe you won't judge me now that you know about my crazy week! {just kidding}

Pinterestingly Enough #1

I think I'll do something new every week to spice up this bloggity-blog. I'll post things I've pinned to my Pinterest in this past week, because I do adore Pinterest very much.

And while you're looking at my pins, listen to this song because it's so delightfully adorable :)

Inner Beauty

I was having a bad day yesterday, obviously. I wasn't trying to get attention or get any compliments. My blog is a way for me to somewhat vent my feelings {but trust me, I don't state 100% of how I'm feeling. that would take eons}
 I was actually surprised, and touched, that a lot of people {in my book} responded with positive comments. Thank you. I really needed that.

And I've been stressed lately because as a personal progress project {whats that? find out here!} I decided to plan Young Women in Excellence {it celebrates girls that have achieved all of the requirements of personal progress}

That was super ridiculous to get all ready {kinda makes me scared to plan a wedding} And I had spray paint, food dye and cuts all over my hands. But a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders because tonight was the night. And it went really well.

Our theme was "Discovering your Inner Beauty" and tonight that really hit me, with what I posted yesterday. I wasn't seeing myself very clearly. Yes, I make mistakes and trip up. I'm human. But I'm a very unique girl. And I'm beautiful.

So thank you, readers, for helping me see that when I was looking in the wrong mirror.

Not So Hot

It's been a long day.
And it's kinda been a horrible one too, but at the same time, not really.

Right now, I feel ready to burst into tears because my hair is short and my shower didn't go too well this morning and so it's greasy. Gross. I miss my long hair. Why did I have to cut it? Oh, right. Because I was in a silly-don't-think-just-do-it mood when I cut it in the first place. Now when I put it in a Mulan bun, like it is now, all my little layers stick out and it looks like a mini straw hat.
So much haiiir <3

I just want to cry. Someone get me a tissue box. Seriously. Look at this hair!
I'm practically seething with envy.

And my face is breaking out and it looks like an olive oil factory had an explosion on my face.

And oh my gosh i just want to get married and have a husband who snuggles with me and makes silly faces with me and sings at the top of his lungs with me and thinks I'm the cutest even though my hair is a greasy mess. And he'll watch cheesy Christmas movies with me and he'll be my best friend and he won't mind that I can't cook very well. And he'll take me to the temple and be mine forever.

so cute:).

AW!! I always see "I do" on the bottoms of the Bride's shoes, and this is such a cute idea for the groom!!! :)Precious engagement picture.how adorable is this?

the Worst

Sometimes I'm really surprised how silly i am.
Last night I was writing my brother, who's serving a mission {ladies, see below} and I was sending some pictures he asked for. Mind you, this was the second time I was attempting because LAST week it didn't work.
I was sure it would work this time. I even checked my email after to make sure I didn't get that stupid message saying it failed.
Well, twiddle dee. I checked my inbox this morning, excited to get a letter from my dearest brother, and to my utter dismay and disappointment, I got the dreaded email.

DELIVERY STATUS NOTIFICATION: FAILURE

Nooooooo!!!!......
I almost started crying in class. I pouted pretty bad.

*sigh*
well. there's always next week.
{is he cute or what?!? miss him like crazy}

He'd love to get letters from cute girls, soooo if any cute gal is interested, just drop me a line :)

Tis the Season

This time of year has always been my favorite. Red cheeks, red nose, scarves, hot chocolate, wrapping paper everywhere, tree lit up with twinkling lights and mama cooking in the kitchen.

But of course, this isn't what Christmas is only about.
It's about a young mother, probably scared and unsure, bringing our Redeemer into the world.
And it's humbling as you get older to really think that He descended below them all and was born in a barn. Not a glorious sparkling palace, the place he deserved to be born into. He had to experience everything, for us.
I'm so grateful for the message this holiday season of Christ giving us the greatest gift we could ever receive: eternal life.

Letters to Santa

I'm excited to have my family over and make sugar cookies {one of our traditions} and read a Christmas story before bed. Listening to Christmas music and drinking apple cider and joking around. Then in the morning, in all our gorgeousness, we see what Santa brought us :)

I can't wait!
